Aware is a voluntary organisation formed in 1985 by a group of interested patients, relatives and mental health professionals whose aims are to assist that section of the population who are directly affected by depression.

Marriage and Relationship Counselling Services (MRCS) was founded in Ireland in the early 1960s to provide the highest-quality, non-denominational counselling service to those experiencing difficulties in their marriage or relationship.

One in Four
One in Four is a registered charity that offers a voice and support to men and women who have experienced sexual abuse and/or sexual violence. One in Four also helps the families and friends of people who have experienced abuse.

Rape Crisis Centre
The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre was established in 1979 to provide support to women and men who have experienced rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment and/or childhood sexual abuse. Services include a 24-hour telephone helpline staffed by trained counsellors which operates 365 days of the year. Although the Centre is based in Dublin, its counsellors take calls from all over the country. The Centre takes calls from women and men of all ages who have experienced or want to talk about the effects of any kind of sexual violence.

Samaritans is available 24 hours a day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.
